Let's talk about boyfriend jeans.

I have been a bit skeptical about boyfriend jeans. For me, they are something that I always love on other people, but never myself. That is, however, until I discovered the "Tomboy" jean  by Vigoss at Nordstrom. They have just enough of a baggy feel without making you feel like your slowly drowning in denim. Needless to say, I've fallen in love with them. As in... I've worn them every day since purchase. Yeah, they're that good. On a day to day basis, I wear them with a baggy basic tee, a belt and some gladiators. For this outfit, however, I dressed these jeans up with a structured polka dot top, my new obsession-of-a-hat and  my good ole black heels. There are so many options when it comes to these jeans, and I'm excited to play with them!

Statement Stems

As of lately, I've really been embracing patterned pants. They're such an easy statement piece. I especially love them because my style tends to be quite simple (lots of black, grey & neutrals). With that being said, statement pants are nice way for me to step out of the box. I think its important when styling these particular types of pants, to not let it get too.. how do I put it.. um Grandma-y (?) Haha. I love wearing these pants with a colored blouse & something edgy. Enjoy the weekend lovelies!

Ladylike Layers

Summer isn't the only time for floral dresses. Adding a sweater over top and some tights underneath can be just what you need for a fun fall/winter outfit. This is a drop-waist floral dress from Forever 21. I added a cream knit sweater over top, my army jacket, and a big black scarf. I paired it with my favorite fringe booties from Target and a black bag from H&M.

Fall and winter layers can be a drag sometimes. This is the perfect way to keep warm without losing that feminine touch.

San Francisco

We took a trip to San Francisco last month, and I'm finally getting around to posting pictures! We had a lovely long weekend and great weather there. Though, San Fran isn't our favorite spot to visit, we did really enjoy ourselves. I didn't quite pack enough warm clothing, so I ended up wearing the same pants,  jacket, and of course, a hat all three days. Talk about an outfit repeater. It is what it is. Lesson learned. Here are a few shots from our San Fran Adventure.
My hat kept shading my face, hence the wannabe model pose.

 My hubby and alcatraz.

I couldn't even win on the easiest level!
Apparently, this is what kind of "lover" I am. Go figure.

We had a great time. AND we got to test out our new Canon, too! I'm sure we'll be back to San Fran; I fell like there are so many more hidden gems in that city.
